GorillaCamPro App Reviews

Excellent!

How do you not like something that does a great job, has excellent support (a rare thing) And how do you beat the price!

Good app, good options

Good App, good for selfies, but could improve. Be nice if in time lapse mode, for pictures, if it would give you a countdown option instead of taking 1st picture before your set up.

Nice

Good app! Please add new feature - time stamp.

Excellent!!!

Time lapse excellent! Everything that I need are here!

Great for a free app

Lots of features many users will want. How about making the bubble work in landscape mode?

cant believe its free app

thank so much for a cool app like this. for helping you improve this app , please make it remember the last used parameter , thanks again:)

Just what I was looking for!!

And its free... :)

Lame

I want to take pictures at different times so I make a slide show update plz then I give 5 stars cuz it would be the best

Focus?

The focus doesnt work.. An update would help. If u can fix this, I can give you more stars.

Honestly, not even worth the free DL at this point.

How do you, the developers, expect people to submit to your contest using this app. Its hardly a complete stop-motion app. It definitely needs a LOT of work.. I had high hopes for this app. Unfortunately, its nearly the worst stop-motion app available. I will list for your review all the problems that make this app almost impossible to use. I will attempt to list them in order from the most significant problem to the least. Although many of the issues are mandatory fixes that need to be made. 1. The app does NOT save your work if you receive a phone call or text. Meaning you must turn on airplane mode while filming if you intend to keep your work. ( i learned this lesson the hard way and lost 200+ images. A few good hours of work down the drain...) 2. This app has its Done button right next to its camera button, making it very easy to accidentally end your film instead of taking your next shot... Not good. (again, learned this lesson the hard way. Lost work due to fat fingers...) 3. This app does not let you edit your work after shooting. There is absolutely no deleting or adding stills after your initial shooting. So youd better be sure every shot is perfect.. 4. When you begin filming, the frame per movie box (seen in the example images above) stays in the middle of the screen. No option to hide it. It doesnt eventually move to the top or side of the screen. It stays right in the middle of the screen blocking your view of what should be in the middle of the screen, the object(s) youre filming! 5. The app does not let you know if youre filming upright or horizontally. (Yet another lesson learned the hard way. Filmed one film upright and the app saved it horizontally. Did another film horizontally and the app saved it upright.. How was I to know? The app doesnt tell me in what orientation im filming!) 6. The app does not allow you to rotate films after filming. Better hope the app knows which orientation you want to film in and saves it properly for you.. 7. This app does not give you the option to add any sound or music to your work. Lame 8. There is no onion skin layer or grid layer options. Lame 9. The level does not work horizontally. Other than these issues, I cant see any reason to not use this app.. lol Seriously though, If youre serious about making a good stop-motion video, stay away from this app unless they fix all of the issues above. If they actually did fix all the above issues, this would easily be a must have app.. but until then... Go buy Stop Motion Recorder for a buck or two. It has less than half the issues of this app and gets updates. I *WILL* keep an eye on this app and its updates (should any come out for it) and I will update my review accordingly. Stay tuned. ;)

/:(

WOOOOOOOW...... it works the 1st two times i use it, then, when i try to go on now, IT EITHER CRASHES OR TURN BLACK ON ME!!!!! deletin app

Great but re-loads every time you switch apps

I use this a lot and I only wish it didnt pause on the load screen after Ive switched to another app.

Very buggy

Some neat features, but everytime I try stop motion or time lapse, itll take the pictures OK - but when it tries to "stitch" them together into an animation something always fails. Then im left with dozens or even hundreds of photos on my camera roll. And you seriously need to either create a way to combine camera roll photos easily into an animation, or at the very least add a "delete all" button!

How many of these features actually work?

I want to like this app -- Ive used Gorillacam by the same developer with good results -- but I cant get it to work as advertised. In addition to the problems other users have reported, Ive been unable to make the self-timer work in conjunction with the time lapse feature. The starts taking pictures right away, no matter what delay Ive set. I know its a free app, but still.

Good but.

Works great! I use the stop motion the most. the only down side Is that it wastes battery! Like crazy almost 1% every min or two but other then that its awesome.

Crashes

Seems like this app would be great if it didnt crash every 5 minutes including every time I try a time-lapse.

Time lapse crashes it with ios 5

This used to be amazing pre iOS 5. 5-stars. I used it regularly. Now it crashes.

solved

when i downloaded this app and it was the best camera app ever but then it turned all black and i couldnt take pictures because it would turn out black so i deleted it and re dowloaded it and it works like before it is like it never happened

Not good!

I got my moneys worth; free! This app works just as well as their Grollicam App did when I tried it. It Doesnt! I set it for 1000 shots at 10 sec. interval. It took 114 pictures and stopped. The iPhone still had almost a full charge and 8 gigs of memory left. Missed the important shots I thought Id get. I gave it two stars because maybe theyll fix it and it could be great. Does anyone make an app that will actually work to take interval timed photos on the iPhone?

How about a horizontal bubble level?

All I want is a photo & video app with a horizontal bubble level, as most inexpensive iPhone tripods and tripod-mounts hold the phone horizontal. Jobys GorillaCam app was wonderful, this one is OK but still needs work and some improvements.
