GorillaCamPro App Reviews

Clever ideas half done

An app with great ideas. To my knowing its the only app with a bubble level (except its ancestor GorillaCam which doesnt support newer iPhones fully) - but the positions of the lines which show the alignment are too wide, they should only be as wide as the bubble (which is perfect in GorillaCam). The second flaw is the missing landscape mode (which GorillaCam has). Another issue is that the settings are not saved, if the app is killed you have to make all setting again. What I would like to see is a 3D bubble level (or even better a virtually free floating compass) and alignment lines parting the screen in 4 and 9 parts. I would even pay for such a app...

Timelapse Resolution

I downloaded this App to make timelapse videos. This works perfectly fine but the resolution of the pictures is heavily reduced. So the 8mp camera on the iPhone 4s is wasted. Update please!

An sich klasse...

... Aber leider kaum zu gebrauchen, da die Auflösung so schlecht ist. Ive tried to change the pic quality in my iPhone 4 main setting. But even if I choose "5MP" the pics that I take only got 640x480 pxl. Thats really bad. The original iPhone camera takes pics with 2592x1936 pxl. That problem really should get solved.

Features needed

Time Laps: * Interval of 1 second or less please!! All Functions: please store the settings (interval, shots, frames per second)); every time I must correct and control the settings when I start …

Not bad, but...

Pictures resolution 1920x1080 pixels? Im quite sure the iPhone (6 in my case) camera can do much better. Would be nice to have a faster burst mode (e.g. like the native camera apps burst mode, or maybe even with configurable interval) to take pictures in REALLY fast succession. Apart from that, the remote control feature is some really awesome feature!

Some good features, but one big flaw

The image resolution in "Best" mode is advertised with full sensor resolution but only gives me 1920x1080 images. Even the native video resolution of my iPhone 6s is higher ;). But I have to say that I really love the remote control option. A small remote preview would be nice.

5 Stars

Excellent stop motion feature. Really fun app.

Great app!!

Lots of fun

Simple. Effective.

The bubble level is very cute, but a grid feature (with which you can pretty accurately determine levelness) would have been far more useful, albeit not as fancy a feature. Also, it would be nice to share photos via MMS instead of just email, and FB / Flickr / Twitter. Finally, the ability to delete photos in the Camera Roll album from within the app would have been nice. These are just a few things Id love to see added or revised in future updates. With a little tweaking it would definitely be my go-to photo app!!! Overall, the app is clean, simple to use and does exactly what it says it does.

Frame by Frame 1.0.1

This app stands head and shoulders above most of the camera apps available on iTunes. I have made good use of the shutter delay to get excellent tripod shots of me traversing the bike trails of Calgary. I also have endless fun with the time lapse video feature. Compliments to the developers!

Pretty darned good!

Ive only had this app for a short time, but already found it to be exceptionally useful, especially the time lapse and level features. My only complaint is that it wont switch to landscape orientation on my iPhone 4s. All my other apps do that fine, but I cant find any settings or tricks to get it to switch. Fix that and Ill give it five stars...

Its okay

Its a shame this app cant seem to put time lapse photos together to make a movie.

Disappointing.

Very disappointed. Does not output time lapse videos which is the reason I installed the app. Will try something else

Garbage app!!!

Horrible quality of pics... I went to Europe and all my pics with this app had blurry images. Test between photo app and this app, youll see how bad this app is! Dont ruin your pictures by getting this pixelated garbage!!!

Self timer needs countdown sound

Nice user interface. But self timer function fails because there is no countdown sound. I deleted the app immediately

Awesome

Set the mode to continuous shutter stop motion for timelapse

Fantastic!

All i can say is, For Free it is over the top for Reliability, and it does exactly as they said it would. I love it......charge me to make it stream live, ...... Total WoW then!!!!

So close… but not there yet

Mostly a fan of this in many versions, free and paid. The current interface is clean and rather straight forward, which is lacking in most photo timer apps for some reason. I have had issues with the app being unresponsive and had to select options several times for them to stick. I am disappointed that when taking stills the default size is so small on the large and best settings. This makes sense for video but outputting stills would be nicer at higher res,

Works well and simple

A few functions but they are all effective

Loving the time lapse mode

Up to this point Ive only used the time lapse mode. It is fantastic. I plan to explore the other modes soon.
